Dank u wel

Dear kind readers,

Thank you all for your wonderful quotes. You’ve inspired me through and through, not just with the words themselves, but by your love of literature. Such fabulous books you all read!

In fact, you have so inspired me, I’m going to keep my letter brief today and try to spend some time working on a writing project.

But I do want to share this amazing cover with you – my Dutch editor Liesbeth Botman with Artemis & Co sent it to me this morning. Kind Van Sneeuw will be published in Holland in January.

Cheers!

Eowyn

    Hi Eowyn,
Did you notice there’s still one right foot missing? Doesn’t it bother you? My editor told me they were going to put it in, so I’ll phone them… and put my foot down! 😉

I didn’t notice the missing right footprint till Lidwien mentioned it. Is it because of the title lettering there or is it on purpose – something missing, like a child in Jack and Mabel’s life????.

I think it’s because of the lettering. Perhaps it’s just me, but I keep imagining that she’s hopscotching through the snow… 😉

I’m enjoying your blog and the word pictures and photos of your life. Nancy, the librarian in Sutton, recommended it to me. I must pop in to the book store and meet you some day. I live out by the Matanuska Glacier. Can’t wait to read your book.

Hello neighbor! I’m so glad you found my blog, and of course thanks to Nancy!. Please do stop by Fireside Books and say hi when you have a chance — I’m there on Saturdays.

Sue and Lidwien — To be honest, I didn’t notice the footprint until it was pointed out to me. I wonder if it’s because of the lettering. Overall, though, I love this cover. There’s something so evocative about those bare footprints in the snow!
On Wednesday, I’ll share the French cover with you all. Totally different and beautiful, too.

Faina’s footprints, enchanting. That’s the perfect word for them.
